Find Your Favorite Frog!
In some cultures frogs are signs of money and abundant wealth. The have played an important role in culture and tradition. In my family frog figurines are prized because they happen to be my daughters favorite creature.
She may have picked up her love of frogs from me. I have lots of frog figurines outside in the garden and around the yard, I always have. It always seemed very natural to me to have them outdoors as they are a part of nature. I never had frog figurines in the house until I decided to see how well feng shui worked. I purchased a feng shui money frog. Chinese culture says that money frogs will appear in the time of the full moon at homes who will soon receive good news regarding money. This was my first inside frog figurine. This frog figurine holds a Chinese coin in his mouth. Did it work? Well, all, I can say is it didn't hurt.
I thought that the next logical place for frog figurines was in the bathroom. I purchased some really cute frog figurines for my daughter from Fortune Frog. These are very cute frog figurines, made of resin and very colorful. One is called "Ahhnold" and is a bodybuilder. He's iridescent blue and purple. The other Fortune Frog is called Curious George. He hangs down off the ledge of a shelf. He's also very colorful with large red eyes.
I tend to like frogs that are more realistic in shape. I found a lovely glazed ceramic tree frog. I also like frog figurines that perch on the edges of shelves and bookcases. I think they look so cure and people are always surprised to see them. My daughter's favorite frog figurines are Kitty's Critters. This is an adorable limited edition of frog figurines modeled by Kitty Cantrell. They aren't cheap but they are worth the money for someone, like my daughter who will probably have the collection for the rest of her life. My daughter has Kitty's Critters "Full House" which is a mother frog with three youngsters of varying colors, Va-Va-Voom a pink lady frog who looks like she's draped over a piano ready to sing, Mamma Mia which is my particular favorite. The mother frog is a lovely yellow color and she has a cute blue baby frog clinging to her back. My daughter also collects crystal frog figurines. She has several made from Swarovski crystals. She has asked for the Waterford Crystal Frog Prince for Christmas. I'm sure we'll buy it for her. The most expensive crystal frog that I've seen is offered by Horchow. They are crystal tree frogs offered by Daum Crystal. They are the most incredible colored pyte de verre crystal. There are many online sellers that offer frog figures of every description, size and color. An easy online search of frog figurines is sure to turn up exactly what you're looking for!
